Defining the future structure of your organisation, including the resources, processes and technology needed, and where procurement fits within the wider organisation, can make the difference between success and failure. A Target Operating Model (TOM) should reflect the culture of the organisation and be driven by a vision of where the company wants to be in its procurement space.
Building a Procurement TOM will help define what you want to achieve from your procurement function and provide the roadmap for the change. The TOM will also enable you to formulate a compelling business case for the programme of change and provide a useful tool for stakeholder engagement.
